Description
This is a beautiful, large, garden facing double room in 3 storey period home with (almost) own bathroom and private kitchenette, all on one floor at the top of the house. It is very light, with big sash windows looking out over the gardens of Queen’s Park.
The room is very quiet and peaceful, with plenty of space to relax and to work if needed. There is substantial storage, and it has a single bed that has been turned into a seating area.
Although there is no communal space as such, the bedroom itself is large enough to be comfortably used as a living space, and no one else uses that floor except when we have occasional visitors to stay (most often our grandsons, 11 and 9) who use the other bedroom on the top floor. When they are staying, the bathroom is shared with them, but the kitchenette is not shared – this would be for your sole use. The kitchenette is equipped with a slow cooker, single hob, fridge and sink, and has a large window overlooking the street.
The bathroom is a good size, and very sunny and light, and just a couple of steps from the bedroom.
The big garden is available to use when we are away (which is quite often). The street is quiet and leafy, and has easy access to Bakerloo line, London Overground and plenty of buses all within 5 minutes walk. At one end of the road we have Kilburn High Road, which has all the usual high street shops, pubs, restaurants etc, and at the other end is the main stretch of Queen’s Park where you will find wonderful restaurants, Gail’s bakery, bars, coffee shops, an amazing award winning farmer’s market and more. Queen’s Park itself is fantastic, and just 5 mins walk away from the house.
Within 15 minutes you reach trendy and vibrant Kensal Rise, with even more bars, restaurants and boutiques.
I am an opera director and designer, and have a studio nearby, but occasionally work from home. My husband is a writer and photographer and primarily works from home. We have a new, very friendly puppy (terrier poodle cross). We have a gate to stop him visiting the top floor, but would appreciate a dog lover.
We are friendly, welcoming and generally keep to ourselves.
Please contact me should you have any questions or if you would like to arrange a viewing.
