A friendly and ‘with it’ older person with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. They would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking up to four or five meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a double bedroom furnished with double bed, desk and storage, and shared use of a shower room and the kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is in an excellent location equidistant between Queens Park Station (Bakerloo and Overground) and Brondesbury Park Station (overground) – 5 mins walk to each – and a short walk to local shops and restaurants, and also to the green space of Queens Park. There is a weekly cleaner.

The person enjoys reading the Guardian and keeping up with news and current affairs, watching TV (eg University Challenge, Eastenders, dramas on Netflix), playing Bridge and doing crosswords, and watching football (they support Spurs!).

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
