Description
Hi! I'm Dominique, a (young!) 41-year-old female.
I work in Education. I’ve been living in the flat for 3 years. I'm English/French bilingual.
The room is available from 27/10/25..
Location and transport:
The flat is ideally situated, with great transport links: it's a 1 minute walk to Rotherhithe station (overground), a 4 minute walk to Canada Water (jubilee line), and also just a minute’s walk from the Thames.
I love living here because it’s right by the river (it's lovely in the summer) and it’s also really central (you can get to anywhere in central London within 30 minutes), but whilst it's a vibrant area with lots of lovely pubs, it still feels relaxed.
The flat:
The flat is a 2 bed, 2 bath, on the 1st floor of a modern building. It has an open-plan kitchen and dining/living area with a juliet balcony.
I have the smaller bedroom with an ensuite shower room.
The available bedroom is much larger. It contains a queen-sized bed, 2 bedside tables, a large chest of drawers and a desk. It also has in-built mirrored cupboards, and plenty of space for more furniture.. It comes with a private bathroom.
The flat has a parking space in the communal garage.
Amenities:
In terms of amenities there's a local shop pretty much on the doorstep, a Sainsbury's local by Canada Water (as well as a food market on the weekends), and Surrey Quays shopping centre - with a giant Tesco's - is 10 minutes' walk away. There are various gyms in the area, but the gym and pool at the local centre are free for local residents.
Being flatmates:
My main interests? All things food related, stand-up comedy, reading, swimming, and exploring the world.
I’m easy going and sociable, but I also like my own space.
Living in a respectful and clean environment is a must.
I love going out for dinner & to comedy with my sister & friends, but most weeknights (other than going swimming), I’m at home, so ideally, I’d like to live with a like-minded person. It would be nice to cook and chat over a glass of wine sometimes.
Bill costs (at present): Council tax is £79.75/month pp (unless you're a student, in which case it's £50). Broadband £18.50/month pp. Gas and electricity between £36 and £75/month pp (approx).
Conditions: You must be earning £30k/year or have a guarantor.
Please get in touch if you think you would be a good fit!
