Rotherhithe Flat Share

My longtime flatmate is moving to Edinburgh to take up a new academic post. This leaves an unfurnished room available from early August. This first floor, ex-council flat is pleasant, the neighbourhood is tranquil (even quaint), and it's very well-connected to all the good places. The Rotherhithe Overground is literally steps away and Canada Water tube (Jubilee line) is a 10 minute walk. The Mayflower Pub (and the Thames) is less than 100 feet away.

You'll be sharing with one person. I'm easy to live with, quiet, and tidy. I'm an academic with a day job, I'm in my 50s, I cook a bit, and I am up for conversation, hanging out, and the occasional shared meal, but also happy to give you as much space as you like. I'm American and I've lived in London for 3 years. I'm looking for someone responsible, friendly, and chill.

Open to any age, gender, etc. LGBTQ+ friendly. I may be moving on myself in about 6 months, but you should be able to take over the contract if you want it when I leave. Property manager requires proof of income and that you pass the typical checks. Sorry, they won't accept students.

Bills are currently £155 per person per month., including council tax, energy, water, and internet.
