Double room in Rotherhithe flatshare
Live in a marshmallow on the river. OK, now that I have your attention… so the building is having its cladding redone, and right now it looks like an 8-story marshmallow. But it will be back to its art deco self soon.
The room: spacious room, in a building with only 8 flats. (You barely know you have neighbours.) Lots of storage. The room has a daybed (like a sofa) that pulls out to a king-size bed. Super comfortable sleep. Window overlooks the Thames, but not so much light that it disturbs your sleep.
Bathroom: Has a large shower (baths are so last decade) and heated towel rack. Next to your room for easy access.
Common area: Living room is river side, big bay windows, great view of all of Central London - or will have, once the work is complete. (And that’s why I’m discounting it by £250.) Open plan with all the amenities: big-screen TV, leather sofas, kitchen with all the appliances and gadgets. Monthly reliable cleaner. All included in fixed monthly utilities.
Me: I’m a late 30s professional guy, quiet, clean and tidy, looking for a flatmate after my partner ran off to Ireland for work. (She comes back to visit about once a month.)
You: A decent sort. Gamers OK. Boring is fine. Quiet? No problem. Sociable? Bring it on.
