Description
My flatmate for the past 6 years is moving out at the end of the month (although can be flexible if needed earlier - just ask), so I'm now looking for a new flatmate to live with me and my 2 cats - Felix and Hunter.
The room is a double with built-in double wardrobe and en-suite. The flat is fully furnished so there’s a bed, bedsides and a chest of drawers in the room, and as I've been here so long it's obviously got all the other things you need for it to be lived-in (like kitchen bits and the tv etc.). As the flat is a 3-bed/3-bath we have a spare room and bathroom for friends/guests - having lived here for so long we've been relatively protected from increases, and when our previous flatmate moved out last year it was cheaper for us to stay rather than move into a 2-bed.
The flat has free access to the Royal Wharf facilities (concierge, post room, gym, pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi) and there are local amenities in the area including a pub at the end of the road and a Sainsbury's Local around the corner. We’re a 3-minute walk from Pontoon Dock DLR which connects to Stratford, Woolwich and Bank directly, and there’s a dock for the Thames Clipper in the development.
I have always lived in sociable flats so ideally looking for someone who can join for a Netflix-binging session over a glass (read bottle) of wine and Deliveroo order, but equally enjoys their own space and isn't afraid to invite their friends over or treat it like their own home. I own a few local coffee shops and also have a full time job, so usually quite busy but regularly work from home. I've had Hunter and Felix since 2019 and despite being adoptees they're super sociable and friendly with their own personalities, although Hunter spends 80% of the time under my bed!
I have lived here since October 2017, and our contract is due for renewal on the 1st November. Initially this will under our current rental agreement and from the 1st December if you wanted to continue to stay in the property a newly negotiated agreement with the landlord - at which point there's the possibility of also having a third person in the property again if the rental increase warrants the extra split.
Rent is 1,300 per month, and we have a bills kitty which we currently put 250 each into each month (council tax (F), electricity, water, heating, internet, tv, fortnightly cleaner etc.) which has always been enough. If it needs topping up or if there’s cash left in it we just split it out or get a nice dinner in :)
Any questions, just ask!
