Description
We have two rooms available now in a 4-bed shared house with a small garden.
Room 1 is fully furnished with a double bed, a built-in wardrobe, some bookshelves, a large chest of drawers, an easy chair and a desk with chair. It has a large window overlooking the small garden and is light and bright.
Room 2 is the smallest bedroom in the house and is fully furnished with a single bed with drawers under, a small built-in wardrobe, bookshelves, a small desk and a further clothes rack.
Both rooms are for single use only. Three housemates share a bathroom (the fourth has an en-suite). There is an additional toilet downstairs.
The house is centrally located near Tower Bridge. However, it is tucked away in a dead-end road and is surprisingly secluded. The owners stay in a self-contained annex in the garden a few nights some weeks, but they don’t use the facilities in the main house. The house has generous shared spaces with a dining kitchen and a large furnished lounge with a television. The kitchen was re-furbished 6 years ago and is equipped with a washing machine and a tumble drier. There is a small, very sunny courtyard garden with seating and a barbeque for everybody to use. The recently re-furbished main bathroom has a shower over a bath and there is an additional downstairs toilet. The house has gas central heating with radiators in all rooms.
There is no parking available, but the garden is secure with a high wall and locked gate, so a bicycle can be kept there safely. The house is one min away from the bicycle lanes in Cable Street. Three TFL stations are within 10 min walk. There is a variety of sports and gym facilities nearby and lovely walks/runs along the Thames, St Katharines Dock, canals and Wapping basin. Iceland, Waitrose and Sainsbury supermarkets plus Watney market are within 10 min walk and provide ample food shopping facilities.
The current house mates are 2 male professionals, Irish and British. The house is kept very clean and tidy and there is a cleaner for the shared areas every other week.
WIFI, Gas, Electricity, TV licence, cleaning every other week and council tax bills are included in the rent.
We will only consider prospective new housemates who will view the house and room in person. No video viewings. The rooms are for single occupancy each and available from 1 November. Viewings will be scheduled on the afternoon of Friday 24 and during Saturday 25 October. There will be no evening viewings. Do not contact me if you cannot come in person or if you are not available at those times. Deposits are one month’s rent paid on reserving the room and the rents are £960 for the double room and £700 for the small room per calendar month. The rent will be reviewed 1 April 2026. References required.
