Description
Hi all, our flatmate is moving out so we’re on the market for someone even better in our three-bed two-bathroom home
About the flat:
- Top (4th) floor unit that has great natural sunlight in the room and the living room/kitchen (the photos are old and bad but trust us it’s west facing and really nice!!)
- A massive balcony that's private to the flat, great for summer BBQs or a splash in our inflatable pool (again, trust us)
- Open-plan living room and kitchen that has tons of space
- Bathroom is shared with just one flatmate (as the other has an ensuite)
- (Surprisingly) great and helpful landlord
- The room can come furnished or furnished, there is a big closet with a big mirror in the room
- Over the year bills average out to about £100 per month
About the area:
- Only a 5 min walk to Shadwell Overground and DLR, and good dedicated cycle lanes
- 7 min walk to grocery stores such as Sainbury's and Iceland, 10 min walk to Tesco, there's also a Waitrose that's a 20 min walk away
- The George Tavern is a 5 min walk away which rules
- Great and safe street filled with young professionals and families
About the flatmates:
You’ll be living with Constance and Pranaya
Constance:
I’m Constance (she/her) I’m 25 and I’m doing a part time MA in anthropology, community and youth work at goldsmiths! I also work in a café in south east London and do communications for a youth charity (this is my year of side questing ahaha) I love dancing and anything artsy (crochet, photo, clay sculpting…)! I love going out with my friends for a pint or a boogie just as much as a chill movie night in! I’d love a flatmate who's down to hang out from time to time but also respectful of each other’s space
Pranaya:
And I’m Pranaya (he/him), I’m 31 and work in tech doing data things. I love losing at boardgames and winning at D&D, dappled sunlight, charity shops, and getting Stath Lets Flats quotes wrong (which feels in the spirit). Also a big fan of playing (and formerly watching) tennis, my plants, other people’s plants, nobody’s plants, and the three shambles in a trench coat that is Tower Hamlets council. I’m after a flatmate that’s very clean and tidy (like actually tho, not just as a default on their profile, this will cause friction), considerate, and is ‘down to hang out from time to time’.
We’re not a party house, but the vibe of the flat is social as the two of us get along, but we’re also pretty busy so we don’t always execute on all our grand plans to hang out. We also sometimes have friends from out of town stay over for a few days while they’re visiting London, so you gotta be cool with that. And you also have to be cool with Pranaya’s fortnightly film club, and the odd dinner party.
If you think you’d fit in great then send us a little about yourself! We’re hoping to do viewings this Saturday 25th after 6:30pm, and all day Sunday 26th before making a decision. And if we really need to then using Monday / Tuesday next week to do any late viewings. Move-in date is flexible; ideally early - mid May but I’m sure we can work something out for the right person (culd b u?)
