Double Room in Calm Home | Shadwell/Wapping

Hi,

I’m looking for a like-minded female flatmate (ideally 35-45) to share a calm, well-kept home in East London. This is very much a quiet, respectful household - a space to come back to after work, unwind, and recharge.

I’ve lived in the flat for the past 6 years and really value the atmosphere here, so I’m looking for someone who treats their home as a sanctuary rather than a social space.

The flat:
- Split over two levels
- Ground floor: open-plan kitchen and living area
- First floor: two bedrooms, bathroom, and separate toilet
- Double room available (unfurnished)
- Clean, cosy, and well looked after
Location:
- Between Shadwell and Wapping
- Great transport links (DLR, Overground)
~20 min walk to the Elizabeth Line
- Santander bikes just next to the flat
Rent & bills:
- £1,000 per month (based on current rent of £2,000 split equally)
Please note the rent may increase slightly from 31 July, depending on landlord review
- Fixed bills (council tax, water, internet): ~£130 pp/month
Plus half of gas & electricity (varies seasonally)
About you:
- Female, ideally 35–45
- Working professional
- Very clean and tidy (this is important)
- Respectful, easy-going, and considerate, Not a party person
- Values a calm, quiet home environment
- Takes care of shared spaces as their own
Important:

The new flatmate will need to:
- Pass referencing
- Be added to the tenancy agreement via the agency
- Commit to a minimum tenancy of 12 months

A bit about me:
I’m 38 female, easy-going, respectful, and enjoy having a peaceful home. I’m quite particular about keeping the space clean and calm, so it’s important to find someone on the same wavelength.
