I am looking for a lodger to rent this lovely, sunny and quiet furnished en-suite large double room in my house. I am the owner and live-in landlord.
The room has become available because my charming lodger has recently left to pursue a work opportunity outside of London, after 3+ years of living happily in my home.
The house has a calm and peaceful feel about it as soon as one enters: tidy, clean and crisp - having undergone a complete refurbishment just over 4 years ago. I have a garden (although that is a work-in-progress). There is a washer/dryer on the ground floor. All bills are completely included and I will not be increasing the rent for at least 12 months - affording peace of mind during these uncertain times with energy price increases. The rent includes the costs of a cleaner. My cleaner is really nice and trustworthy. She comes once a week and does all the bathrooms and some other cleaning tasks.
The room is very clean and the furniture is in good condition. The room consists of a double Ottoman bed (so great under-bed storage), desk and chair, large bedside unit with 2 drawers and plenty of storage for clothes. The en-suite has a bathtub with overhead shower.
The house is situated within a low traffic neighbourhood on a quiet road. Old Street is the closest tube station (about a 8-12 mins walk). The following areas are all walkable taking between 30-45 mins: Holborn, Bank, Farringdon, Kings Cross and Liverpool Street. There are 2 parks close by and the canal is about a 2 min walk away. Both Upper Street and Essex Road (which host a number of bars, restaurants and shops) are within easy walking distance. The Britannia leisure centre is 5 min away. A really nice gastro pub is at the end of the road.
This lodging will suit someone who is looking for a nice house in a fantastic location. I am quite focused on my work and the house will support anyone who has a busy and demanding job. My current lodger works in banking and has had his room for over 2 years.
I am flexible so will consider a lodger who only needs Mon-Fri and/or part of the week.
