Next door to Tate Modern with views over Thames

This flat is perfect as a pied-a-terre, or for a visiting academic. It is literally next door to Tate Modern, with a big window looking over the Thames at St Paul's. Excellent transport links to Bloomsbury, and easy walking distance to the City and the South Bank. It's also surprisingly quiet, as it's in a block away from the main thoroughfare.

The kitchen and living area is open plan and spacious, with a sweet balcony at the back. It's fully equipped, including a wine chiller and a washing machine/dryer.

The available bedroom is small, but has a double bed, bookcase, shelves, and large closet.

The bathroom is small, but not cramped: a small feline could be swung in there were you so inclined. (However, if this *is* your inclination, please don't bother to contact me - not being cruel to animals is one of my basic requirements in a flatmate...)

I'm a professor of African history at Goldsmiths. I'm looking for someone to share this lovely flat with me who likes to keep places clean and tidy. I'm not looking for someone with whom to share cooking or social life, but I would like to share everyday conversation. Politically I'm left-liberal, however, so would not be great company for anyone with right-wing views!

I'm not a great cook but I do like having guests over for dinner, in the hope of stimulating conversation about arts, culture and the state of the world.
I'm not very fluent in sport-speak, although I do enjoy cricket.

I am in southern Africa until mid-August, but I'd like to set up viewings in readiness for my return. As I will be away, please email me rather than attempt to phone to set up a viewing.
