Bright sunny room in the heart of South Kensington

Hi everyone,

We are three professional, friendly housemates looking for a new person to join us for up to 3 months stay in our spacious, sunny home in the heart of South Kensington.

The house is great - it has excellent storage and is spacious and clean. It has a huge modern kitchen/dining room which is where we always hang out. This is the 'family' room, with dining area and sofa for us to hang out in the evenings - it is a warm space for dinners, socialising and chatting, but the house is spacious enough that you can easily have your privacy upstairs as well.

There is a spacious bathroom with shower/bath, dual sinks, and excellent storage, and another cloakroom on the landing below the apartment which we have use of (it's shared with the office below during the day but useful as an additional toilet in the mornings/night!).

There are three bedrooms upstairs, and my bedroom downstairs. Two of the three upstairs bedrooms are taken by housemates so there is one further bedroom available.

The available room is a cosy double room. The room is very bright and sunny and looks out over South Kensington, but is very quiet as it's on the top floor. The room is currently furnished with a double bed, lamp, mirror, and cupboard with hangers and storage boxes. I have plenty of spare pillows, duvets, towels etc that you can borrow if you are coming from abroad. There is space for a desk or chest of drawers if needed.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances including a dishwasher and washer/dryer, also all crockery/cutlery and all baking and cooking utensils, with everything from sushi kits to tea and coffee station.

The location is absolutely unbeatable. The house is about 10m from South Ken station, with all the amenities nearby - all the coffee shops, restaurants, bars, museums etc... plus post office, banks, dry cleaners, supermarkets etc are all just metres away. And yet the house is quiet as it's the top two floors of the building, so it's basically as close as you can be to south ken without the problems of train/traffic noise. Hyde Park is only a few minutes walk, as is the river, and Knightsbridge/Sloane Square/Chelsea etc. The location is really unparalleled if you work in South Ken or nearby or simply want to enjoy everything the area has to offer.

About me: I am a documentary filmmaker so I work freelance hours and I'm away frequently but also work from home. I'm clean, tidy, relaxed and fun and enjoy meeting new people. My interests are travel, films, and photography, and I often attend evening talks and lectures at the RGS, RBS, Ri and all the museums in the area. I'm a movie nerd so love having film nights or netflix binges!

About my housemates: Laura is from South Africa, and also speaks fluent French. She works in Hotel Management so has long shifts, sometimes evening or late shifts, but when she is home we hang out, have tea and cook dinner together, chat and watch movies, or pop out for a drink nearby. She is sociable, friendly, very quiet and tidy, and very easygoing. Her boyfriend Phillippe lives in Belgium and visits every couple of months - he is also lovely :)

And finally, Thomas is from France and works in finance, he has just joined us and is really friendly.

We are all clean and tidy and like to keep our home looking smart, we enjoy cooking together and hanging out in the evenings/weekends when we have free time, whether that's heading out in the local area or watching movies at home. We are looking for a housemate who will be respectful of our shared space and contribute to life at home.

The room would suit anyone looking for a smart, bright and sunny place in the heart of South Ken, with a professional and mature personality and a good sense of humour.

Rent £900pcm

(This is an unbeatable price for the location and quality of the apartment!)

Bills will be approximately £120pcm in addition, and include:

Council tax
Water
Gas
Electricity
High-speed internet
All household supplies (kitchen roll, lightbulbs, binbags, toilet roll, cleaning supplies, dishwasher tablets etc - you don't need to worry about any of it!)

The only additional cost would be a cleaner, possibly once a month - we keep the place pretty much spotless so shouldn't really need a more regular cleaner but we can discuss this as a house. You would be expected to help keep the place clean and tidy and contribute to household chores, as normal.
