Description
We have one double bedroom available in a four-bed converted warehouse available immediately.
The existing housemates are a junior doctor (24), a nursing campaign coordinator (30), a filmmaker (35) and an events producer (33). At present, two of us are living in the flat with one working from home daily. The other two have temporarily relocated out of London.
We typically relax at home and party elsewhere. There’s a record player, space indoors for bikes and a few guinea pigs to keep you entertained.
The room comes with a bed and mattress, a small wardrobe and a bookshelf. It’s approx. 2.2m x 3.5m and rent is £547.40 per month, including gas/water and electricity. Council tax and internet are £32 per month each. The deposit is one month’s rent, paid to secure the room. The contract is made with the landlord directly (no agency involved so no hidden fees!). Similar to many warehouse flats, the room doesn’t have an exterior window.
Unlike a lot of warehouse spaces, we are not a party house and the place is in good condition - it’s warm, clean and has a recently refurbished kitchen and bathrooms.
The flat has an open-plan dining room/kitchen/living room area with a kitchen that has lots of prep space. There is also a second open area that is used for studio/desk space. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower. It’s pretty much totally furnished & there’s not really space for more furniture in the communal areas.
The warehouse is on an industrial estate just adjacent to Markfield Park, Walthamstow Wetlands, and Walthamstow and Hackney Marshes.
It’s a 10 minute walk from Seven Sisters or Tottenham Hale station, a 10 min bike ride to Stoke Newington, 15 min cycle to Dalston and 35 minute cycle (via the canal) to Hackney Wick.
It’s a 5 minute walk to Lidl, Tesco, B&Q, etc, and there are lots of west african, chinese and turkish food shops in the surrounding roads.
