South Tottenham Sublet

Room “STUDIO 18” going in a warehouse from 1st July.

Location:
Down the road from Stamford Hill towards Seven Sisters tube – very close to station.
Markfield Park, Fountayne Road, Lea River also nearby.

Studio 18:
Large double room with separate night space that gets lots of light (south-facing). Double-glazed windows so quiet despite the students living right opposite – they are actually very well-behaved (and probably won’t be around in the summer). Most noise comes from the staircase outside the room. It can be loud but it’s not all the time. I’m only leaving this room / house because I have a job offer in Barcelona.

You can rearrange the studio how you see fit. For instance, move the mattress to the main space and use the night area for storage or as home office. WiFi is good.

House:
It’s a big warehouse with a shade porch at the front (east) and garden out the back (west). Huge communal space where we hang out / watch films with the projector.
People make art there too. Kitchen is massive with several sinks / worktops and everyone has dedicated fridge and cupboard space. There’s also a music room if you play an instrument or sing. Four bathrooms, and it’s easy to reach any part of the house from the studio. You’re never queueing for a shower – lots of toilets as well – or laundry. Bikes safely stay inside and you can use mine (single speed, has brakes). Garden at the back is really nice, I love the view.

People:
A mixed bunch really with people of all ages and from various places. Creative types, musicians. Very chill vibe, I’ve happily lived here since I moved back to London last year in November. We have a cleaner 3 times a week and all kitchen / bathroom basics are provided (blue roll, washing-up liquid, toilet paper, cleaning stuff).

Terms:
The monthly rent is £1K including bills
Move-in date: 1st July
Long or short term depending on your needs. I’m planning to move back to London in September.
