Description
The house
A three bed terraced house in a quiet cul de sac. I bought it a couple of years ago and have been doing it up. It has ample living space, with a large kitchen and living area and newly built separate garden room. There's a shower and bathroom upstairs and separate toilet downstairs, plus a front and rear garden.
The room
A comfortable double room, overlooking the front garden and cottage-like houses in the close. It's fully furnished with a large wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. Also has a luxury Simba bed and mattress, new blind and carpets. There's room for a desk which I'm happy to sort if wanted.
The area
The location is convenient for most things. South Wimbledon tube (northern line) is a five minute walk and it's the second stop so you always get a seat. Wimbledon main station (national rail as well as district line) is a 20minute walk or ten minute bus.
It's very easy for shopping with a big M&S and Sainsbury's a short walk away. A couple of bigger shopping areas have other big shops like Curry's, Aldi, TK Maxx, Superdrug etc. Wimbledon itself also has loads to offer. I've found I rarely go central anymore.
Merton Abbey Mills which is very close has some nice eateries and pubs. From there it's also a nice walk or running / cycling route sourth towards Morden Hall Park, or track the Wandle path up towards Earlsfield and Wandsworth.
There are a couple of gyms nearby including a Nuffield opposite the M&S.
A bit about me
I'm Ed - friendly, chatty and interested in most things. I work for a healthcare company and am in the office 1-2 days a week. Previously always lived in sociable house shares. It's a cliche on here but I also value and respect the need for space. I'm keen for someone to feel at home here.
The other housemate is a small dog whose affection is quickly bought with treats or a warm lap to sit on. He has yet to pay me any rent sadly. Being a dog lover is a definite plus!
The rest
All bills, including Virgin broadband and several streaming services on the main TV, are included.
I'm open minded on arrangements (e. g. short or long term, weekdays only etc). Available from October but some flexibility on moving date.
If you're interested, drop me a message telling me a bit about yourself.
