Description

Bedroom 3 on the floor plan

***Live-in landlord***

***All bills included***

I always aim for a stress and drama-free house—one built on integrity, inclusivity, fairness and fun. Therefore, you must meet these requirements if you wish to live here.

Unfortunately, it didn't work out with the last housemate. The vibe wasn't right; it is very sad for everyone. We tried for a very long time.

We're looking for someone who is friendly and enjoys socialising in shared areas, thinks of me as a housemate, and wants to get along with everyone.

Please note, we are ideally looking for a young millennial. I have to draw the line somewhere, and that seems sensible to me. Experience has demonstrated that whilst younger people start with enthusiasm, there is a distinct correlation between age, cleanliness and social development. Younger applications may be considered, but are unlikely. This isn't a finishing school of life training! You'll have to pay extra for that.

Main advert.

We live in a lovely modern house situated in a private gated development (feels nice and safe) close to several supermarkets (huge Sainsburys, Lidl and Waitrose, 10 minute walk & Londi's 1 minute walk), shops, bars and Southside shopping and entertainment complex with cinema & gyms within a close walking distance. There's also a garden centre and swimming pool a short walk away!

King George's Park is really close and perfect for a local run. There is a Santander cycles docking station located in the park.

I work in education, Natasha is in journalism and Shana is in radio.

What's provided:

Please note this is for a single occupant. This bedroom comes with a double bed, a triple wardrobe, a bedside table, under-bed storage drawers and USB plug sockets.

You have private use of your own shower room, with a central heated towel rail, a modern rain head shower and a light vanity mirror with an anti-steam heat pad, fancy! Please note, should the other bathroom be out of action, you will be required to share.

You are more than welcome to work in the living room, but please bear in mind this is a shared space, not a private office, and to clear away after use.

The kitchen comes equipped with lots of cooking and baking equipment, plus a new Miele dishwasher, Brita filter water tap, slow cooker and bread maker. We have a top-of-the-range Samsung washer /dryer located on the top floor. I like my gadgets, so we have a Dyson cordless vacuum. The kitchen is full of what we need. Any additional kitchen stuff you bring must be stored in your area in the kitchen. Anything we need to share, I will buy, so please do not bring too much.

The living room has an amazingly comfy sofa, a dining table and chairs and a 55 inch smart TV.

WiFi coverage throughout the house with a maximum speed of 500mb down, 80mb up.

The garden has a set of tables and chairs, and a BBQ, and it catches the sun most of the day. It's our tropical paradise!

I’ll be living in the house, so I would like to create a great home for everyone. At least you know I’m always there should a problem arise. I’d like a mixed household, people who are social, like a barbecue from time to time, and a glass of vodka/wine or two. There is also a great pub across the road. Someone who wants to play an active role in the house, and not to treat it like a hotel. I would like to be considered a housemate rather than being seen as the landlord. If I have to put my landlord hat on I will, but I really prefer everyone to do as expected, get along and play nicely.

The parking space is unavailable

We're lucky enough to live close to a few regular bus routes, the bus stop is just outside the front gate, 156, 39, N87.

Going north, 39 terminates at Clapham Junction. The 156 carries on to Vauxhall 32 mins. There are more options to change at the shopping centre or Clapham.

The 87 is perfect for accessing central London as it terminates in the west end, after midnight it turns in the N87 and stops outside the house and runs between Soho and Kingston. Perfect for a night out .

Going south the 156 takes you down to Wimbledon, the 39 goes past Southfields tube station (district line) terminating at Putney.

Good to know:
Please help us recycle as much as we can, including mixed recycling and soft plastic. We also have a compost bin for most food waste, perfect making compost for the garden.

People are expected to clean up after themselves in the shared areas as they go along. Rather than having a cleaning rota, we have a sheet where you record what you have done. Normally speaking, I'd like us to take it in turns to vacuum clean and mop the floors/stairs once a week. Please empty either bin when full.

If you'd like to view the room please send me a message with a little bit about yourself and what day/time you'd like to view the house. No copy and paste! How long you'd like to stay for and your approximate moving date.

Please note I'm always keen to read perspective flatmate's advert and look at your photographs. This helps me understand what you're looking for and if I think we could be a good match, no point wasting our time. Without these I'm unlikely to reply to your message, due to the volume of enquiries. It shows me you've taken the time and effort, hopefully as much as you think I have.

I don't like surprises, if you are bringing any baggage like a bicycle, I must know in your application process and not your move-in date or afterwards!
