Looking For A Female Lodger For Mum £200 Pcm

I am looking for a kind, patient, FEMALE preferred, non-smoking lodger for my Mum who is in her 80s. We are looking for someone who can move in by 19th May (at the latest) and stay for about 6 months.

Please read carefully, all the way to the bottom, before responding.

Bright, quiet room with garden view. Double bed, built-in wardrobe. The bedroom is not ensuite, but you would essentially have your own shower room (opposite your bedroom), as Mum has her own ensuite.

Large, detached house with extensive garden on Princes Way, SW19. 5 mins walk to Putney Heath, 10 mins walk to Southfields tube (District Line). Short bus ride to Wimbledon Village, Wandsworth, Putney High Street, Putney Station (fast trains to Waterloo). Convenient for Roehampton Uni, St Mary’s Hospital, Richmond Park.

Mum is in reasonably good health for an elderly person, she still drives herself around locally and has an active social life. She is very well travelled, and loves dogs, theatre, opera, classical music, art galleries and restaurants.

The rent (£200 pcm including bills) is cheap because Mum needs some company at night and help around the house. A cleaner comes once a week, and a gardener comes regularly, so you wouldn’t have lots of chores. You would cook dinner most evenings, put the bins out and generally help out when needed - we estimate this to be about 4 hours of work per week maximum. You would be expected to keep your own bedroom and bathroom clean. What Mum needs is the comfort of knowing that someone is there late at night. Sorry, no overnight visitors allowed, so this would suit a single person.

You need to be OK with dogs as me and my partner visit often with our excitable bull terrier. This would be the only time you’d be expected to share your bathroom with someone else.

Mum would prefer someone without dietary restrictions (so no halal, vegan/vegetarian etc). Someone who works nights, or comes home past dinner time most days, is not suitable. Someone who wants to have lots of weekends away is not suitable either.
