On Wimbledon Park Road in Southfields — quiet, leafy, and one of the best-connected spots in southwest London. You're spoilt for transport choices:

7-min walk to Southfields tube (District Line — direct to South Kensington, Victoria, Westminster, Embankment, and the City)
15-min bus to Clapham Junction — the busiest station in Europe, with direct trains to Victoria, Waterloo, Gatwick, the south coast and beyond
10-min cycle to Earlsfield — direct trains to Waterloo in 12 mins
Wimbledon town centre a short bus or tube ride away for shops, restaurants, and Wimbledon Village

And right on your doorstep:

Wimbledon Park at the end of the road — lake, tennis courts, athletics track, and lovely walking paths
Wimbledon Common a short stroll further — proper London escape, runs, riding paths, and pubs

The room:
Comfortable double bedroom — south-facing with lovely light throughout the day. Fits a double bed, wardrobe, and desk with room to spare. Furnished or unfurnished — happy either way, so come with your own things if you'd prefer.
The flat:

Bright, modern, well-presented 2-bed on the 3rd floor of a quiet block (no lift, sorry!)

South-facing with views towards Wimbledon — properly sunny all day
Shared garden — perfect for summer evenings and morning coffee
Spacious living/dining area with a big table that seats 6+ — great for the dinner parties I mention below
Shared bathroom with bath and shower
Fast wifi (essential — I work from home most days)
Free off-street parking, two spaces
All bills included electric, water, council tax, wifi)

About me:
I work in social cohesion — mostly from home, in the office 1–3 days a week — so the flat's lived in during the day but I'm good at keeping work to my own space. I'm a big outdoors person: hiking, tennis, the gym, and cold water swimming.

I also play the piano. I'm pretty social — I see friends often and love having people over for dinner. The dream flatmate would be someone who enjoys the occasional dinner party as much as a quiet night in with a film. I'm friendly but not in your face, and I respect people's space when they want it.
What I'm looking for:

Working professional, ideally 28+
Tidy and considerate (we'll be sharing a bathroom and kitchen, so this matters)
Sociable enough to chat over a coffee or share a meal sometimes — no pressure to be best friends, but would love to not be strangers in the flat!
Open to the occasional dinner party (cooking together is a bonus!)
Bonus points if you're outdoorsy or up for a cold dip in a lido
No smokers, no pets

Practical bits:

£1,200 per month, all bills included (electric, water, council tax, wifi)
Available from 21 July
Minimum 6-month stay preferred
One month's deposit + first month's rent on move-in
