Beautiful room to rent in peaceful Southgate

We have a double bedroom situated in quiet Southgate for rent. We are a short walk to the piccadilly line - Zone 4 (less than 10 minutes), with many bus connections.

The room is incredibly spacious and has been newly redecorated when we moved into the house almost a year ago. This room is on the ground floor and so feels like you have the whole house to yourself sometimes. There are ceiling spotlights, bay window area. There is no built in storage so you would need to have your own wardrobe etc..

The house has a huge living room/ dining area that looks out onto a beautifully maintained garden via sliding doors. The garden has a greenhouse and shed that is amazing in summer to BBQ or relax in the hammock.

The house also has a lovely kitchen, equipped with washing machine and all usual amenities and two large fridge/ freezers. We share and combine certain kitchen items but each have our own space as well that’s split equally.

The living room already has a dining table and sofa so it would be best for someone to move in who is not looking to put a significant amount of items in the shared living space.

There is also a newly renovated garage which will likely be used for art projects and a workout station. You would share a large bathroom with two of us which has a shower/ bath and separate shower. There is also a small toilet under the stairs on the ground floor.

We take immense pride in making our home a clean and peaceful escape from our busy working lives, and we are looking for someone who wants the same. You would be living with 3 professional women who are looking for someone to join our London family. Katie loves true crime documentaries and reality tv escapism after dealing with old men in her corporate job. Maggi is a seamstress extraordinaire who works in the creative world and loves to bake and garden. Then there’s me (Caoimhe), I am a performer who can usually be found singing show tunes, decorating the house for a holiday theme or nursing an injury!

Our goal is to have someone move in who wants to be part of our tribe; enjoys the occasional dinner together, the odd board game and movie night, but understands sometimes we all need some ‘stare at the ceiling’ time.

Rent is £840, bills are £170, and the deposit is £796. We pay everything into a house account and save any surplus to spend on anything we need to buy for the house.

We are looking for someone who is a similar age to the rest of us (29-32) and would ask for proof of income and a reference from your previous landlord please, to make sure that whoever moves in is a respectful tenant, financially stable and settled in their life here in London. We all want to stay for at least another year in the house as we love it so much!

The neighbourhood we live in is very tranquil, and we are lucky enough to have access to large parks and tennis courts either side of the house, friendly neighbours and a lovely landlord who lives around the corner.

For food shopping we have a large M&S food a 3 min walk away; a big Asda 10 to 15 min walk away; a Morrisons a short 10 min bus ride from the station; and Lidl a 15 to 20 min bus ride to Enfield. There are lots of smaller green grocers in and around the High Street.

If you have a keep fit regime there is a large Better gym with pool a 3 min walk away that has been newly renovated (next to M&S) and a Pure Gym about a 5 min walk from the house.
There are lots of lovely patisseries, Greek bakeries in southgate and some really cute brunch spots.
