Description
Hi all,
I'm looking for a new flatmate as of 1 November. The actual move-in date would be 8 November, as our landlord is kindly doing some work on the flat during the first week of November.
Since my current flatmates are both moving out at the end of the month, I decided to turn one of the rooms into a brand-new living space and make this Corona-situation just a little more bearable. 😊 The room up for rent is a lovely double room with a huge double-glazed window that gets lot of sun in the mornings. It comes furnished with a double bed, desk, desk chair, build-in wardrobe and bookshelves.
Toilet and bathroom are separate with windows in both rooms. The flat is fully equipped with washing machine, all sorts of kitchen utensils, vacuum cleaner, dish washer etc.
The flat is located on the second floor and I’ve been busy sprucing up the entrance area with lots of plants. We’re very central in a nice area in Southwark, just 10-15 minutes walking distance from the Thames (literally in every direction), Globe Theatre, and Tate Modern. From our place you can easily reach most locations in central London (we all used to walk to our work places). The closest stations are Southwark (5 minutes) and Waterloo (8 minutes). There are many small supermarkets and nice cafes/restaurants in the neighbourhood, including Mercato Metropolitano which is a super nice place to hang out in summer.
About me: I am a 30 year-old PR professional specialising in healthcare PR (working from home at the moment). I work quite long hours, which is why I am looking for someone who is also full-time employed (sorry, no students), cleans up after themselves and has left their party years behind. Don’t get me wrong, I love going to the pub and having friends over (well, not right now, obvs) on the weekends. We’ve been turning this flat into a real home over the past years and I’m looking for someone who’ll treat it that way. Otherwise, I’m a native German, who likes the great outdoors, plays all kinds of racket and ball sports and likes to socialise with her friends.
If you’re interested, please send me a message with a little bit about yourself. Since we’re in this rather special situation right now, I’ll have Skype/Zoom chats first before inviting anyone for a viewing. At viewings, we’d of course all be wearing masks and keep our distance.
