Double room in South Bank near Tate Modern

A double bedroom is available in a 2-bed flat in the South Bank from the 8th of June.

Sadly, my friend has moved back home to Italy so I am on the market for a new flatmate.

The location is amazing: we are in the Bankside area of the South Bank, just across Blackfriars Bridge from the City, surrounded by cultural institutions and cool pubs and cafés. There are 5 TfL stations within a 10 minute walk (Southwark - 5 mins, Blackfriars - 6.5 mins, Borough - 8 mins, London Bridge - 10 mins, Waterloo - 10 mins) with the Jubilee, District, Circle and Northern lines all easily accessible. The Stansted airport bus stops 150 metres down the street and trains go directly from Blackfriars to Gatwick and Luton so getting to the airport is a breeze. If you're interested in art, we are actually right opposite the Tate Modern art museum as well.

As shown in the photos, the room is a comfortable size, not huge but definitely not tiny by central London standards. There is a desk and chair which you can have set up or not depending on whether you need it. There's also a closet, chest of drawers, and bedside table.

As for me (the other flatmate), my name is Chris, I'm 28 and I moved to England last year from New Zealand. I work as an analyst for a property investment company. I have lived in flats for a number of years and have enjoyed some good times with my flatmates so hopefully we can run a fairly friendly vibe! I'm into travel, music, art, watching TV including football, and learning Spanish and Japanese, among other things.

Bills aren't included. Utilities have tended to come to around 65 quid a month each, and council tax is £65.38 per month each (council tax band is C).
