Hello!

We have an amazing bedroom available to rent in our flat in the heart of Southwark.

Our current lovely housemate is moving to Australia, so we’re looking for another person to join us in the flat.

Note: our contract runs until end of March next year, when we’ll have to leave the property (landlord renovations). But we’d plan to find a new place together, if you’d be up for it.

The room

The room is furnished with a double bed, fitted wardrobe, and chest of drawers. It also comes with great storage underneath the bed.

The flat

Our flat has a shared bathroom (top floor, with a combined bath/shower), a separate toilet downstairs, a spacious living room with high ceilings, bay windows and a separate kitchen with a fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven and washing machine.

Storage

There’s so much storage around the flat (both in the living room and in separate wardrobes and shelving units) and great WiFi.

Bills

Rent is £867 per month (paid to the estate agency) and bills are £120 per month (paid separately). The bills include gas, electricity, internet, TV-license, and council tax. We use Splitwise to manage bills.

Deposit

The agency is part of the deposit scheme so your money is protected. When you move in, you’ll pay a deposit of £907.

References / documentation

The Estate agent will need proof of work with salary and a reference from a previous landlord.

We’re two professionals working in Marketing and HR. We’re both independent and have our own lives, but often get together to have a chat, dinner or go to the cinema.

Life in the flat

We keep our flat clean and tidy and have a cleaning rota between us.

We like this place to be a calm and cosy place to come home to rather than just somewhere to sleep or a party flat.

The area

We’re located in zone 1, an amazing place and location for the price.

We’re within short walking distance of 5 stations:
• 10 mins to Borough (Northern Line), Southwark (Jubilee Line) or Elephant & Castle (Bakerloo & Northern)
• 7 mins walk to Waterloo station
• 15 mins walk to London Bridge station

There is a Co-op and Tesco Express just around the corner, and convenient bus stops close by.

The flat is also very close to the amazing Borough Market, Supermercato Metropolitano, Flatiron Square and South Bank; all great for bars and cafes.

We're looking for another female professional (no students or couples, and no smokers), to join us for the next 9 months.

Room availability

The room availability is flexible, but appprox mid- July (our existing flatmate will stay until we’ve found the person to join us).
