1-bed flat sublet in Spitalfields/Aldgate East

We're subletting our lovely 1-bed flat Aug - Feb while one of us is going on sabbatical.

The rent is currently £1700pcm and bills and council tax are about £250pcm.

Our landlord has approved us subletting.

The flat is on the first floor, it's about 40 square metres, with a bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen. It has a juliette balcony off the living room too.

The flat is in a super location. We're 2 minutes away from Brick Lane, 10 minutes from Aldgate East and Whitechapel stations, and Bethnal Green Overground station. Shoreditch is right next door, as are a few smaller parks. It's about a 25 minute walk to Victoria Park from the flat, and we're nearby canals too.

The flat will come furnished, as we will leave most of our stuff there! We'll take out our clothes and some other personal belongings but will leave most of our plants, our piano and our TV. We're happy to discuss what would you'd like us to take away/leave behind while you're there (e. g. kitchen supplies, books).

We're looking for an individual or couple who:
- Can look after our plants!
- Can stay for 5-6 months (ideally mid-Aug to late Jan)
- Will look after our flat and furniture in a respectful way

We'd love to meet you once or twice before committing, just so we know who we're entrusting our sofa and plates to.

The flat isn't pet-friendly sadly and our landlord won't accept smokers. There will be a security deposit but we don't know how much at the moment.

You might need to have a guarantor. You will need to have a reference.

You'd be acknowledged in our contract as a sublettor, so it will all be above board!
