Bright double room overlooking garden

We are looking for a flatmate to join our very warm, bright and green flat in the Stamford Hill/Stoke Newington area.

The Flat

Located on a beautiful tree-lined residential street, this Victorian split-level flat is a quiet plant-filled oasis away from the noisy city – and right next to all the action of Stoke Newington. The flat has a large, homely and comfortable living room and a separate kitchen. The available bedroom is on a separate floor overlooking a tree filled garden providing ample privacy.

The Area

The flat is very well connected. 4 buses a block away take you both to Dalston in 10 mins – with its amazing Turkish cuisine, Ridley Road Market, live music venues and the art deco Rio Cinema – and to Shoreditch’s buzzing nightlife in 20 mins. Stamford Hill overground station (5 mins walk) and Stoke Newington overground (10 mins walk) gets you to Liverpool street in 15 mins and Hackney Central in 10 mins. Buses 5 mins walk away takes you to Camden/Euston in 30 mins. A 10 minute bus takes you to the Victoria line.

Lots of green leafy spots a short walk away – such as the wild, overgrown Abney Cemetery and the lively Clissold Park, Woodberry Downs and Walthamstow Wetlands. The best Jewish bakery in London is a 5 minute walk from the flat (open til 1:00am and has a sushi bar!) and the cute shops of Church Street Stoke Newington are only a stroll away.

We are sustained by reasonably priced food from Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, and ASDA’s supermarkets - all 5 minutes’ walk from the flat!

The Flatmates

You will be joining a friendly mostly-vegetarian couple - one who is working on a PhD studying Shakespeare, and the other works in marketing and is a former pastry chef! We are fans of films, theatre, literature, live music, cooking, running , horticulture, and scurrying around Hackney all the brilliant gems this thrilling borough has to offer.
