Description
Available now!
We have a large, bright and airy master-room in my dad's house, in Stamford Hill and are looking for a lodger. We are currently living there (with our two cats!) and are open to a full-time or weekday-only tenant. All bills are included in the price of the room.
We are pretty quiet, tidy/clean and private people and enjoy spending time in each others company when we're at home. We are looking for someone who is easy-going, chilled, friendly, and clean but not necessarily looking for a traditional house-share dynamic.
Hope that doesn't make us sound too mean! We're always happy for a chat in the kitchen and are friendly, respectful and chilled people we're just not into house cooks, movie nights and things like that!!
You would have access to a large kitchen, with washing machine and dishwasher, and cooking appliances and of course the bathroom, but we keep the living room/dining room as our home space, and as such you would not have access to it as part of your tenancy. Again if this isn't your vibe totally understand, but please be aware of this!
We live in a typical London terrace. The room features an original feature fireplace, one chest of drawers, a small wardrobe, desk and two large, south-facing windows overlooking the street. The rail pictured in the room is currently in use elsewhere in the house, but if needed please let us know. The room is ideal for a student, foreign exchange, or intern, but would work for young professionals, too.
It has great transport links into the city, either using one of the numerous bus services which pass through the area, or the tube from Seven Sisters station (0.8mi away), or overground from either Stamford Hill station (0.4mi) which takes you into London Liverpool Street, or South Tottenham (0.6mi) which travels East to Barking, and West to Gospel Oak with links to the rest of the overground network.
Tenant 1:
Isadora, daughter of the landlord and manager of the listing. Previously a secondary school geography teacher, now studying for a masters in International Politics alongside part-time work for a tech/social justice start up. Working partially at home.
Tenant 2:
Kulvinder, Isadora's boyfriend of 8 years. Currently completing his PhD in Archaeology, and largely working from home for the foreseeable future.
Tenants 3 + 4:
Our two cats, Castro and Cannoli. Both male and aged 1 and 2. Very friendly and chilled, but a bit shy around new people!
