Spacious double room in chilled house N15

Hi there! We have a beautiful light and spacious double room available for rent in our Stamford Hill house. We're looking for someone to move in ASAP, or before March 15.

About the room: It is a large double bedroom on the first floor, at the front of the house. The room comes with a bedframe, mattress and cupboard, but other than that it is unfurnished - a beautiful opportunity to make the space your own. As you can see from the photos, there is an abundance of natural light that comes through the front windows, and there is also additional storage space in the upstairs corridor that you will be able to use.

About the house: You’ll be sharing the house with 3 others between 28-31yo (2M 1F). Downstairs, past the bedroom at the front of the house, there is an entrance hallway with shoe racks and coat hanging, which leads through into the living room and kitchen. The kitchen is open plan with lots of open storage areas, and there’s direct access to the spacious covered patio and garden (plus shed!) from there, with space for bike storage. The downstairs bathroom is also accessed through the kitchen. Upstairs, on the middle floor - just past this room - there is a utility room with washing machine and a second fridge/freezer, plus space to hang clothes. There are also separate toilet and shower rooms on the middle floor.

About the housemates: You’ll be living with Owen (31M), a creative writing graduate who regularly hosts DnD campaigns; Jamie (28M), currently working at an arts university and an avid runner, and Seraphina (31F), a writer, martial arts enthusiast and all-round whizz. I’ve been living with these guys for a while now and everyone is super chilled and lovely; we hang out, watch TV, make food together and grab a drink every so often when we’re all around. Everyone is also super respectful of each other’s space and busy social lives too. We are looking for someone proactive who can slot into this dynamic seamlessly (being green-fingered is a plus as we're hoping to rejuvenate the garden a little before summer!)

Transport: The bus and rail links here are really fab. It’s a 15 minute walk to Manor House or Seven Sisters tube stations, and in terms of Overground it’s a 5 minute walk to Stamford Hill (Weaver), and 15 mins to South Tottenham (Suffragette). You’re also within 5 mins of bus stops for the 253, 254, 259, 279 and 310, and only a few minutes further for buses to Stoke Newington, Dalston and London Bridge.

Amenities: Excitingly, a Lidl has just opened a 10-minute walk from us in Stamford Hill, so food shopping is sorted! There’s a 24/7 Turkish grocery store a 5-min walk away, plus a big Sainsbury's 20 mins out. There are gyms and yoga studios in close proximity, and the New River Studios are right on our doorstep, as well as the actual New River path to walk to Finsbury Park in one direction, and Clissold Park in the other.

Cost: The rent is £625 per calendar month. Bills are not included but depending on the seasons they typically come to £120-160pcm total (council tax band D). Deposit is £555 and is protected via the myDeposits scheme, which is tied to our OpenRent joint housing contract.
