Looking for a QTPOC flatmate to join us in our 5 bed house in Stepney E1 ready to send documents and sign contract this week!!
Hello lovelies! We are looking for a fifth flatmate to join us in our five bed house in Stepney. We have put the deposit down on the house so need someone who has their documents ready to send this week, but we are happy to answer any questions quickly and can call :) Unfortunately we don't have good pictures of the house but we can send you a full video tour!
Two of the current flatmates are poc and two are white, we are all queer and we would like another qtpoc person to join us.
We would love someone who shares similar values around community and politics to us. We are all political both in our daily lives and also are involved in community initiatives, anti-fascist organising and action for Palestine organising in London. We are looking for someone who is respectful and clean, who values communication in the house and who is happy to spend quality time with the other flatmates.
Budget: £750-800 per month - will depend on how we divide the rooms based on size. This doesn't include bills and we will need our new flatmate to be able to contribute to council tax even if they are a student - this will be approx £55 per month.
Move-in date: 21st September. We will need to send references and guarantor documents this week! These documents will need to be provided in the next two days:
- work reference and employment details (or evidence of student status and student finance)
- name and address of a personal referee and of next of kin
- guarantor details – UK based and home owner – 3 months bank statements, proof of signature (passport), proof of uk homeowner
- copy of passport
- 3 months of recent bank statements
- 3 months of recent pay slips if you have been in employment
Ages: we are happy to live with anyone between 23-29.
Location and Transport: Stepney E1. The house is a 15 minute walk to Shadwell station, a 15 minute walk to Stepney Green station, and an 8 minute walk to Limehouse station.
Pets: we are open to people bringing pets to live with us!
A bit about who you’d be living with:
Sirjan (they/she, 22): a recent graduate from UCL. Studied history and geography with a focus on post-colonial British cultural history and identity. Loves life drawing, climbing, bike rides, and cooking.
Aphra (she/they, 24): a recent arts and sciences graduate from UCL. Is a songwriter and teaching herself music production at the moment. Likes playing capoeira, reading, jamming and dancing.
Ethan (they/them, 22): returning to study Architectural and Interdisciplinary Studies BSc after a year out in Bristol. Enjoys jewellery making, cyanotypes, making music, playing the flute, going on bike rides and gardening.
Vincenta (she/they, 23): a recent graduate from UAL, is a graphic designer and musician. Loves climbing, art and fun side quests.
What we are looking for in a house:
We want our home to be somewhere we can share meals and balance spending time together as a flat with the need for space and time to ourselves. We would love our place to be somewhere we can grow a small community of people to come round for occasional communal meals and other low-key events. The house has a small garden so you’re welcome to join us garden too! And there is a separate living room and dining room so lots of space :)
Feel free to DM me if you’re interested or if you’d like more info!! 🌞🌞
