Description
Double bedroom in 4-bedroom family house in a quiet, green corner of Stepney Green. All bills included.
The house, recently renovated, has a well-equipped, new kitchen and ample storage for food etc.
This is an advert for a lodger in a family home rather than for a tenant in an ordinary house share (if you're not sure what legally the difference is, please look it up online).
I'm away a lot, so sometimes you would have the house to yourself, but I also have a 14-year-old son, who is here slightly less than half the time; so sometimes, it's a busy family home. I've had lodgers for a quite a while. The last one, Geraldine, was here for two years. She can give you a reference about me!
I'm an academic (I travel to work at Queen's University Belfast, and I know what it is like to lodge in someone's house). The room would suit someone just arriving in London, a post-grad or someone looking for a stop-gap. it would also suit a Monday-Friday let - I'm prepared to negotiate on price if you don't want to be here all the time. My guest room, the pink one in the photos, is available for £650 instead of the bigger white one if you're planning on being around a bit less.
There are sheets and towels etc if needed. There is no deposit, and the arrangement works on trust. If you're interested, drop me a line via the site.
Neither of these rooms are for general WFH. Occasionally working from home, sure, but not all the time.
