Room in Stepney Green in a great house with garden

Room is available in Stepney Green in a 5-bedroom house. I love this spot and everyone in it – I am only moving due to a new job.

About the room:
- On the 1st floor of the house, there are two other bedrooms on that floor, one ensuite (so you would be sharing the bathroom with one other person)
- Comes furnished (bed, cupboards, desk, mattress + topper if wanted)
- bright light and nice sunsets through the palm tree :)
- Sublease through September, with the possibility to take over lease after

About the house:
-Five bedrooms in total, generous sized kitchen and a cute living room
-Well-equipped with dishwasher, washing machine (replaced at the start of the tenancy)+ a bunch of other appliances like microwave etc.
-Big garden with a picnic table, a fire pit, string lights & the biggest palm tree in all of East London (or at least we think so)

The area:
-5 5-minute walk from Stepney Green station, 10-minute walk to Bethnal Green or Mile End station; connected to District, Hammersmith and Central line, and various bus lines
-5 5-minute walk to a local Sainsbury’s and Tesco, 10-minute walk to a big Asda, and 15-minute walk to a big Sainsbury’s
-Victoria Park and Mile End Park + canals just around the corner
-Good selection of cafés and pubs, especially towards Bethnal Green area
-Residential street (sometimes there’s some foot and car traffic during the day, as there is a day clinic across the house and a campus on the street, but it is generally peaceful, the clinic has no A&E)

The flatmates:
- Are the BEST
- There are currently 1 female couple living in the bedroom + ensuite upstairs, and 4 other women (including myself)
- everyone is in their late 20s/ early 30s and either working or graduate students or both (so quite busy and often out and about)
- Just a heads up, there might be some turnover in the house (2 other flatmates potentially leaving, but we are making sure that any new additions to the house will be good fits)
- Everyone is sociable and friendly and enjoys the occasional night in with wine/ snacks, etc but also keeps to themselves sometimes
- We have had some fun parties in the garden and occasional dinners with friends, but this is not a party house; everyone is quite busy and usually prefers an early night

Who we are looking for:
- Ideally, in a similar age range
- Open to students & professionals
- Sociable but also enjoys a quiet night in
- Respectful, clean & willing to contribute to the maintenance of the house (kitchen & living room are shared spaces, and we make sure everyone contributes to the place being clean & cosy)
- As mentioned above, it is not really a party house, so ideally, someone who is also quite busy during the day and prefers to keep it low-key
- At the same time, we have had some nights out at the local pubs, going to see a movie or grabbing some food and we want to make sure the house feels like a community rather than just a shared living space
