Bright double room in community-loving flat for 2

Hi friends! I’m looking for a flatmate to move into a wonderful room available in a beautiful 2-bed flat from early/mid August in Stepney Green. The flat is a 10-15 minute walk from Stepney Green, Mile End, and Limehouse Stations, and it’s 1,100 / month before bills (about £100-150 for bills, but if you’re a student we can lose the council tax £70 each!)

The flat has a great kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, oven, and washer, and we have a massive living room, perfect for hosting dinners (would love to change up the decor to make it mix our vibes!).

Your room would be super spacious and naturally well-lit with a double bed, big wardrobe, and chest of drawers. The flat comes furnished, but some furniture will change (not the room ones mentioned).

I’m Kirtana, 24, South Indian (Tamil) and I grew up in the US. I’m a PhD student at UCL researching educational inequality using quantitative data. Most of my free time is spent volunteering (learning so much from student organisers and green skills at a local eco-civic community garden!!). I cook loads of south indian food, love to share, and am super clean (well-trained by my mom lol)! I also love reading, playing violin, hiking, and crocheting.

Would love my future flatmate to be a fellow organiser, preferably veggie and WOC! I’m also queer and would like to share the space with an ally or member of the community.

Our neighbours and the community surrounding the area are so open to friendship and warm and welcoming, which is a huge reason (apart from flat itself being great) I’d love to never move!!
