A room is available in our friendly household - five mins from Stepney Green station.


The cost:

Rent: £925
Bills: a little less than £100 a month
Council tax band E


The absolute earliest it is possible to move in is 12th May, but we’re happy to negotiate this within reason ahead of moving in depending on your needs.


One tenant pays rent collectively to the landlord – so if there is no issue doing that then there should be no issue with benefits.

The room:

The room is a huge double on the basement floor of a lovely big period property.


The rest of the house:

You will share a big kitchen-living room, two bathrooms and sun trap garden with five lovely housemates – aged mid-twenties to mid-thirties (two guys, two girls, one non-binary).

Between us, we love choir singing, pop music, football, cooking, cricket, gay hockey shows and a night on the tiles…

We also currently come with a bonus Dolly the cat – snuggly diva and east end icon who likes naps and warm laps.

As a group, we keep things clean and tidy without being anal about it. We are a friendly household who will hang out in front of the tv and enjoy the occasional pub trip / dinner / movie night or bbq, but equally all have busy lives and are often out and about.

Because of this and the size of the house, it pretty much never feels cramped despite being a six person household.

Access:
Entry is via the ground floor of the house is up five steps from the street. Access to the room (first floor) from the ground floor is up approx. fourteen stairs. The kitchen and second bathroom are in the basement and access to the garden is off the kitchen – there is a series of 12 steps to get down to the basement from the ground floor. There are four steps up into the garden.


Area and transport links:

As well as being five mins from Stepney Green station (District and Hammersmith and City lines), we are around ten mins from Mile End station (Central Line) too. We’re also a short walk from Mile End Road meaning loads of buses too.
