Description
✨ En-suite in a modern 2 bedroom flat available 01 October in Stepney Green! ✨
Flexibility to move in earlier may be possible.
Looking for someone to take over my current flatmate’s place in our fully furnished flat. It’s a lovely 2-bed/2-bath flat with a large living room, balcony, and kitchen-diner. There's also a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and a decent-sized hallway closet for extra storage.
Furniture in the en-suite consists of a king size bed, mattress, built-in closet, dresser, and two night stands with drawers. Furniture in the common spaces includes the couches, tables, chairs, and tv stand.
📍 About the area
The flat is extremely well connected, with Stepney Green station just a 7-minute walk away (District + Hammersmith & City + Circle).
Mile End station is a 15-minute walk/ 2-minute tube ride away (Central) and Whitechapel station is a 20-minute walk/ 2-minute tube ride away (Elizabeth + Overground).
The DLR is also a 14 minute walk away. In summary, a good portion of the city's lines are at your finger tips!
Lots of great grocery store options close by as well, including a big Sainsbury, multiple little Sainsburys, Tesco, and ~most excitingly~ plenty of local Asian stores galore.
💸 Financials
Rent: £1,332/month
Bills: ~£130/month for water, electricity and council tax
Broadband is already included.
The room will be taken over through the existing tenancy agreement, with the tenancy deposit and a £50 contribution towards the internal transfer fee applying. The landlord also requires the incoming tenant to earn at least £37,264 annually for affordability purposes as a full time employee.
⭐ A little about me
American, 31, currently working in international development, and have been in London for about 5 years now. I'd consider myself more of a low key person in my day to day life and tend to spend my time getting dinner with friends, working out, exploring the city, traveling, and being outdoors.
As a flatmate, I'm proactively clean in that I do my dishes right away and tidy up common areas unprompted. I also value creating a space where everyone can communicate their wants and disagreements openly, respectfully, and with care. I’ve been quite close with my previous flatmates, so I look forward to having a good relationship with the person I share the flat with, while of course having our own space and routines too. I’d be very up for the occasional movie night or dinner together!
I’m ideally looking for a working professional around a similar age who also values making a house a home and keeping the flat clean and comfortable. Looking for someone interested in staying long-term!
LGBTQ+ friendly
