Description
Hey there,
My old housemate is leaving the flat in January and I'm looking for someone to move in that is sociable, fun and self aware.
The flat is in a great location - c10 mins walk from Mile End, Stepney and Limehouse, easy access to four lines (DLR, central, H&C and district), 2 mins from Regents Canal/Mile End Stadium w/gym and leisure centre, Santander cycle docks, butchers, dry cleaners, corner shops and of course kebabs. Loads of London within 30 mins and Crossrail coming in Whitechapel.
It's a cosy little flat and Ive tried to make it a comfortable, mellow space. I want whoever lives here to be a part of that and be able to bring friends/partners etc round. What's the point of having a space if you can't share it with people?
That doesn't mean bringing back 12 people at 4AM, but it does mean getting friends round for films/sports/dinner/ drinks and the like. The front room has a big TV, PS4, sound bar etc and a kitchen all the usual modcons - dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, slow cooker and that. There's a dining table in the living room that can be used as a desk if you're WFH.
The room is a double, pretty standard size, been recently painted and has some new cupboards etc bought in March this year. Rent includes all bills. I'm pretty green so hopefully you will be too.
However please please please let me know at the door if you never clean up after yourself, and don't know a hoover works. It's easier to get these things out early. It's no fun cleaning up after other people, especially when the flat only takes 20 mins to clean every few days.
There's also my very friendly and affectionate cat, Paddy, who is in the flat. I provide everything for him, he has a special covered litter so there's no bad smells and is super lovely once he gets to know you.
I'm 34 and recently started working for environmental company locally. Before that I was Head of Sales at a friends brewery and before that, worked in the City. I was born in London and the city is my home. I'd like to live with someone who sees London as an opportunity to experience new things and expand their minds. If you're only in the City to work and sit in your room this probs isn't for you.
I'm easy going into all sorts - gigs, parties, museums as much as philosophy lectures, exercising or fail videos. I go to the gym, watch MMA, like to cook, listen to podcasts, smoke a few joints and get some beers in. Ideally you'll be kind of the same, but kind of different. Also communication is the one, if I'm going away for the weekend or whatever I'll let you know so you can sit around in your pants, get some mates or a date/partner round.
Also as the owner I can promise stability, no crazy rent increases and no inspections or any of that foolishness. It's as much your space as mine.
If this appeals then drop me a line with a bit about yourself and we'll arrange a viewing in the next few weeks.
Cheers,
Alex
