Large double room in peaceful and homely flat

I’m excited to be looking for a lovely person to take one of the rooms in my amazing Stockwell flat.

The room available is bright and a good size with a king size (bought a year ago) Ben and tons of storage space. The window has a nice view of Vauxhall and very green from the lush trees in the gardens of the terraced houses behind the building. Original hardwood flooring throughout. It hasn’t been attempted but I suspect you could fit a small desk in the room without issue. There may also be the option to set up a desk in the sitting room but this would have to be discussed.

The building is a stunning old Art Deco block a 5 min walk away from Stockwell station. 10ish mins walk to Vauxhall. And 15ish to Wandsworth Road. Lots of Barclay bike docks around too. Battersea Power Station is a 15 min walk and Battersea Park is close by too. A short walk to a giant Sainsbury’s, Tesco express, the coop and Lidl. Great pubs and a few gyms close by too. There is an amazing courtyard that is covered in flowers and trees and is perfect for morning coffees with the birds or evening beers. The community feel in the building is great and I know many of the neighbours who I socialise with quite often. We have even been known to do yoga in the courtyard from time to time. It’s seriously a gem of a place that is so hard to find in such a central location.

A bit about myself...

I’m a 30 year old female. Originally from Canada but have been living in the UK for 11 years (with 2 years in Sweden and a stint in Latvia thrown in there). I work as a copywriter, mainly working for fashion brands and retailers (potential mate’s rates available). I’ve lived in a million different flatshare situations and am well-versed in sharing spaces. I’m pretty into documentaries, dry humour, wellbeing, learning stuff and design. My work can be quite demanding which takes up most of my time during the week but

A bit about you...

You’re someone who really loves making their home as nice as can be and also loves to laugh. You’re keen on cleaning up after yourself, giving the place a scrub when it’s your turn and keeping noise levels low during unsociable hours. Basically just have common courtesy. Mega bonus points if you have the same taste in interior design (MUJI is king). Down for a drink in the courtyard would be great too, but not essential. Oh, and have a stable income (no students, Soz) that will ensure you pass referencing.
