Description
Hi! We're Hannah and Alyssa, we have one cute little cosy double room available in a three bedroom split level flat in Stockwell. Available from the 14th of September!
THE ROOM
The room is a small double, with underbed storage, a wardrobe, shelves, mirror, and a chest of drawers. There’s also a big window and the room gets lots of light. It is cosy but you can fit a lot in! You can just about fit a little table for working from home, but there’s loads of communal space that you can use to work from too!
THE FLAT
The flat is a spacious three bed, on the fourth floor of a five floor building (60 steps up, but there is a lift too!). It is split across two levels, with a large living room and separate kitchen downstairs, and the three bedrooms and bathroom with separate toilet upstairs. We also have a small balcony going out from the living room (which is a real sun spot!)
RENT AND BILLS
£625 per month
Bills: Varies with the time of year, but roughly £100-150 a month, including council tax (band C), water, electricity and internet.
Tenancy length: 12 months, but probably the option to continue afterwards.
THE AREA
A 5 minute walk from Stockwell station, which is on the Victoria and Northern lines, so super easy and convenient to get around, and about a 10 minute walk from Oval station. You can also walk to Brixton and Clapham Common, and Vauxhall in about 20 minutes, which has great overground links. There’s a Lidl across the road, plus other little supermarkets near by. It’s a really lovely area, not too busy or loud, but with nice local pubs, restaurants and parks dotted around, The Swan which is apparently the place to be, and easy access to the more buzzy Brixton and Clapham.
THE HOUSEMATES
I am Hannah, 29, she/her, and I work in curating. I normally work from home 2 days a week. I like going to exhibitions, gigs, drag shows, and doing fun artsy queer things! I’ve lived here for 4 years.
Alyssa has just graduated as a speech and language therapist (but she also knows how to tattoo!) - she's lived here for 2 years but will actually be away for the first three months.
We're happy to throw the occasional house party, but mostly just like to chill in the evenings and I’m out and about most weekends. I’d love to live with like minded people who are up for going for a drink and hanging out in the evenings when free, but also no pressure to do so and will respect each others’ space!
If you’re interested, drop me a message letting me know a bit about yourself (your interests, hobbies, job, age etc…) and when you’d be free for a viewing.
The landlord doesn’t allow students without a UK based guarantor, and no couples or pets sadly. The usual reference checks would be required.
Thanks!
