Description
A double room in a lower ground floor flat of a Victorian house in a very pretty, quiet road in Stockwell (Council Tax Band D). The room has a window looking out into the garden, which we share with the rest of the house (our neighbours are lovely). The flat itself is spacious for two people and has a nice big living room and a small kitchen with a door out to the garden. Double bed, big chest of drawers and big wardrobe all come with the room.
The room is available from 9th October but the move-in date is flexible, I am hoping to find someone who would be happy to pay rent from 9th November at the latest.
It's a great location - 10 mins walk from Stockwell, 20 mins walk from Vauxhall, Brixton, and Oval, and an easy bus ride down towards Clapham or up towards Waterloo / London Bridge. Two supermarkets and a gym within 5 minutes walk.
It's a very residential area with lots of families so it's not ideal for hosting big / loud parties, but being in such a good location it's easy to host small groups of friends round for dinner etc.
As for me, I am a 28-year-old professional working in media, and a big fan of socialising and going out to gigs / theatre / the pub with friends but also cosy nights in with TV or a book. I'm out a fair bit and usually in the office a few days a week, but very up for hanging out in the evenings if we're both in or watching things together etc! Always keen to make new friends and get to know people so it would be nice to live with someone who would also be up for hanging out sometimes. (FYI I am allergic to nuts so I am looking for someone who is happy not to have nuts in the flat.)
