Hi!
I'm moving out to live with one of my best friends and am looking for a working professional to take over my room for the final month of the tenancy, then signing on with the intention of staying long term (12 months ideally, however the Renters’ Rights Act means it won’t be a fixed term tenancy).
The flat:
First and second floor 3 bedroom flat in a semi-detached terraced house. A large spacious living room and separate kitchen with fridge, freezer, gas hob, washing machine. 1 bathroom.
The room:
Located on the top floor, furnished with double bed frame (space for storage underneath) and mattress, built in storage in the alcove. The bed also fits in the corner of the room by the window when rotated, however I prefer the cosier feel with the bed in the middle. All other furniture in the room is my own and I'll be taking them with me when I leave. There’s space on the landing outside the room for a large shoe rack and a small suitcase, and I keep my desk in the living room for when I WFH.
Flatmates:
You’ll be living with 2 other flatmates: Peter, 39yo Scot who’s a trainee counsellor/therapist who’ll be working professionally in the field from next year. Jazz, 31yo singer who works in customer service and leads a choir on the side. Both are really chill and socialable.
Rent:
£690 + approx £170 a month for bills (internet included in rent).
Location:
The flat is located just off the main road but very quiet as it’s a one way street and not used as a through road. 8 minute walk from Stockwell Tube station (Victoria and Northern Line). Tesco Express and gym just around the corner, 5 minutes from Lidl, and a 15 minute walk from the big Sainsburys in Nine Elms.
We deal with the landlord directly and she's great, really reasonable and responsive if any issues.
We’re looking for someone who’s available to move in first or second week of December, LGBTQIA+ friendly, easy-going, tidy and respectful. If you’re interested please drop me a message with a bit about yourself and your availability for a viewing on Sunday 9th November or evenings w/c 10th November. Due to the volume of enquiries, I won’t be able to respond to everyone but will contact those who we’d like to invite for a viewing.
