My lovely room in Stockwell is becoming available due to me moving with friends.
It's a comfortable and fully-furnished double room with plenty of storage and natural light. The room is on the upper floor of a two-level, four-bed flat which has a well-equipped kitchen- gas hobs, plenty of fridge and cupboard space- a good-sized living and dining room, and separate shower room and WC. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer. Wifi is included in the bills, and the television has most streaming services.
The flat currently consists of two males and one female:
Reuben from Edinburgh, who works at the National Theatre
Sam from the North-West, who works in TV
Emily, from Devon, a social worker
It's a chill and respectful household, where everyone is friendly while having their own routine and life.
The flat is in a pleasant and quiet block set off the Wandsworth Road. It's particularly well located and connected between Stockwell tube station and Battersea Power Station (both max. 15 minutes walk away). Nine Elms station is around the same distance walk away too, while Wandsworth road overground is max. 10 minutes walk away, and there are plenty of bus connections.
There are lots of green spaces surrounding the flat and in Larkhall Park directly opposite, and there are nice cafes and convenience shops on the doorstep. There is a little Tesco five minutes walk away, and a Lidl and big Sainsbury's within walking distance too.
Other good features are having the river and Battersea park close by, with Clapham, Brixton and even Chelsea all readily accessible. Central London can be reached easily on the tube.
The rent is £775 and all bills are a flat £100 (council tax band C), for a total cost of £875 each month. There is also a £50 fee for changing the name on the lease, with the lease renewing for 12 months in February. There is definitely flexibility for anyone who would like to move in before 31 December.
