Double Room for Rent in our East London home 🏠🏳️‍🌈

Hello! We have a lovely double room going in our 4 bed home located just a 10 minute walk from Plaistow station (gyms, shops) and 15 minute walk from both Stratford (plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, pubs - basically anything you’d ever need) and West Ham. We made the move from SE London just a month ago and have only now got around to filling our last room!

It’s a gorgeous, large, 4-bed terraced house with a front and back garden. We have 2 bathrooms (one we use as a laundry room), a large kitchen and shared living room (which is a little bare at the moment, we’re filling it!). The free room is at the quiet back of the property with a lovely bright view of the garden and is furnished with a double bed (w the best mattresses we’ve ever had in a London rental 😌) and wardrobe.

There’s 3 of us in the house, we’re all young professionals who met in freshers week 4 years ago. I’m Emilio (they/he, 22), I work in luxury retail and public health consulting. Hanna is 23 and works in film and TV production, and Noah is 25 and works in corporate audit. We’re all queer and have a large circle of queer friends, so someone who aligns with this would be preferable. We work a lot but are social when we can be! We enjoy cooking together, watching TV/movies, having our friends over and going out to the pub or for coffee. Noah and I also love climbing and running, which the house is in a perfect location for being right next to West Ham park.

Now the boring stuff: the house is leased by Foxtons, so you must be able to pass their referencing checks first (pretty flexible tbh). There is also a refundable (at end of tenancy) security deposit of £851 to be paid as well as 1 months rent (£737) prior to move in. Council tax band is C, Newham - £30 each pcm. The contract is for 24 months, however is able to be handed over at any point with a £50 fee.
