Description
Hey guys,
I’m moving out and looking for someone to take over my double room in a really calm, chilled and well-kept flat in Stratford. It’s genuinely been a very easy home to live in and I’ve really enjoyed my two years here - leaving only because I am moving in with a friend.
🔸Quick Summary
Double room in 2-bed / 2-bath flat (you get the main bathroom with bathtub) 1st floor.
Very safe gated 2-storey development (2 gated entries)
Share with one easy going NHS professional (male, 27, Irish)
Balcony (smoking allowed)
Free residents’ gym + parcel reception
Bills approx. £180/month
🔸The Room
Good-sized double bedroom. Furnishing flexible depending on what you need (or don't).
You’ll have the large main bathroom entirely to yourself — with bathtub, just across the bedroom door.
🔸The Flat
First floor (no lift). Bright living room overlooking communal greenery and a spacious kitchen. Balcony with table and chairs (where smoking is absolutely fine).
As you enter the flat, there’s space for coats and shoes plus a large storage cupboard. The living room sofa converts into a king-size guest bed and has built-in storage.
The development is genuinely very safe — you pass two gated entry points (Flint close, Stone court- a lot simpler than it sounds). Mostly families around. Quiet, respectful environment.
Parking space comes with the flat (currently used by housemate, he pays extra).
Living room furniture stays (decor items will go). The flat is fully equipped.
We have a monthly cleaner (£17/hour for 3 hours, split between the two tenants) who cleans the whole flat.
🔸The landlady is genuinely lovely and responsive. Over the last 18 months she has:
Renovated both bathrooms
Installed new light grey carpets throughout
Added a new dishwasher
Upgraded kitchen and bathroom ventilation
The flat stays warm in winter, bright when sunny, and overall very peaceful- it's impressive how quiet the area is.
🔸Location
13 min walk to Maryland station
18 min walk to Stratford station
5 min walk to Morrisons (big one)
Tesco express and Sainsbury's local around the corner
3 min walk to buses 25, 425, 86, 335
10 min walk to West Ham Park
20 min to Westfield Stratford
12 min walk to gym with pool
10 min walk to Stratford mall- small shops, nail/hair salons, barbers, small independent restaurants etc
GP and pharmacy directly opposite the close. In general more or less everything is close!
- That's what I love about this flat along with the quality of it. -
In the neighbouring main building (visible from the living room/bedroom), there’s a reception that safely holds parcels and a residents’ gym you can use — free access.
🔸Your Future Housemate
You’ll be living with Mikey (27, Irish, works for the NHS & studies for his master's). He’s genuinely easy to live with — clean, respectful, and no drama. He works long hours, goes to uni, and values a calm home environment as he spends most of his days out. Ofc, always happy to have a chat!
We’ve lived together for two years with zero issues. It’s a relaxed, independent yet friendly household — hosting or bringing friends over us welcome, but not a party flat.
🔸Costs
Bills (water, energy, internet, cleaner, council tax) approx. £180/month.
Deposit £800
Referencing through Dexters agency which will cost £50.
LGBTQ+ friendly home.
Happy to answer any questions.
