The flat is fully furnished. Your room comes with a double bed, wardrobe, desk and storage cupboard (for more wardrobe space or whatever you like), and opens onto a private balcony with a great view. The shared spaces include a comfortable living room, sofa, dining table and a well-equipped kitchen. It’s a proper home, not a stopgap.

The area
Stratford is one of the best-connected spots in London. Stratford station is a 7 minute walk away, giving you the Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth line and Overground, so most of the city is under 20 minutes away. The flat is also a 5 to 10 minute walk from Maryland station, handy for additional Overground and Elizabeth line connections. Westfield is on your doorstep for everything you need day to day, and the Olympic Park and canal paths are great when you want to get some air. The area has a lot going on and keeps growing.

A note from me
I’m leaving after five genuinely great years in this flat and in this area. It’s a brilliant place to live and I want to find someone who’ll love it as much as I have.

Your housemate
You’d be living with Saul, a Spanish vet in his mid-twenties and gay. He works long hours Tuesday to Friday, so you’ll largely have the place to yourself during the week. Come the weekend, he’s happy to socialise, think the occasional drink or dinner out and easy conversation, with mutual respect for each other’s space.

Who we’re looking for
Ideally a gay or gay-friendly young professional who wants a relaxed, friendly home to come back to. No couples, no pets.

Viewings and availability
We’re looking to do viewings on Monday 25th May, with an ideal move-in date of 8th June. We would prefer to do all viewings in one go but if you cannot do Monday, please let us know and we can try and arrange a more suitable time.

The tenancy
A new tenancy will need to be signed under the Renters’ Rights Act. Referencing will be required and the successful applicant will need to earn at least 2.5x their share of the monthly rent.
