Description
My flatmate of 6 years is moving out to get their own place with their partner, so looking for a single occupant to take a double bedroom in a lovely, clean and peaceful (not a party flat - sorry) fully furnished two bedroom flat with a shared living room, sharing the property with myself. Would be perfect for someone (just the one - no couples sorry) looking for either short term of 2-3 months or looking for something more permanent & long term , as i’m easy either way. The rent is slightly negotiable for anyone looking just on a mon-fri basis. Also happy to not tie you in to a fixed length contract should personal circumstances change as they sometimes do. All bills (and even toilet roll!) are included in the rent.
The flat comes fully furnished, (washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, hyperoptic fibre broadband, TV , Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, PS4 etc) and the room available has a double bed, bedsheets, duvet etc, large built in floor to ceiling mirrored wardrobes/drawers, as well as a desk/workstation, and a chair. Perfect if you're just arriving in London and don't have any posessions yet, as you can move straight in.
The kitchen's fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups, cutlery, 4 zone ceramic hob, cooker, oven, rice cooker, microwave etc which you are of course welcome to use. If you'd rather have your own or would like to get your own then there's enough space for you to store them also.
Transport wise the flat is a 20 minute commute to Liverpool Street/Farringdon/Bank and the city, or 15 minutes to Canary Wharf, and is located in Zone 2.
Pudding Mill Lane DLR station is a 4-5 minute walk away, which gets you to Stratford in 2 minutes, otherwise Stratford is a 10 minute walk for the Central, DLR, Jubilee, Elizabeth line and overground. Bromley by Bow is also a 10 minute walk away for the District or Hammersmith & City lines. The flat is a 3 minute walk away from bus stops with buses running 24 hours.
The Olympic Park is just a 6-7 minute walk away, with Westfield Shopping Centre just a 10 mins walk.
There’s a Nisa supermarket just one minute across the road, and a huge Tesco Superstore just a 10 minute walk away.
The flat has a secure fob entry system to get into the building, and is serviced by a concierge Mon-Fri. The room also has a lock on the door for added security/privacy/convenience.
Numerous gyms nearby include an Anytime Fitness just 3-4 mins walk away, as well as Three Mills Park for any early morning runners out there. The aquatic centre is also just a 10 minute stroll away for any swimmers.
To give you an idea about me and my routine: I’m a self-employed contractor, which means my schedule can be a bit of a rollercoaster. I have the occasional week where I’m between projects and hanging out at home, but when a job is live, I am out there working! On those weeks, I’m working up to 12-hour days, Monday to Saturday, and sometimes even Sunday mornings. On top of that, I teach in Borough and Hoxton on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons, and I’m training in Hoxton on Tuesday, Thursday, and most Friday evenings. It’s super important for me that home is somewhere clean and tidy to wind down and relax in.
I'm half British and half Filipino, so I try to get out to the Philippines twice a year for around a month each time. I was lucky enough to be out there last year for around three months in total.
The brilliant news for you is that because I’m out of the house so much, you’ll get plenty of time to have the flat all to yourself to completely unwind! The only real downside is that it’s probably not the best setup for late-night karaoke or guitar jam sessions. I usually roll in around 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM, grab a bite to eat, and hit the hay so I can wake up at 5:00 AM to do it all over again. Needless to say - it's more of a calm, zen like space to live in, and most definitely NOT a party flat, although I'm always up for a chinwag over a cup of tea, dinner, or a movie!
If this sounds like your kind of place, then get in touch with a little bit about yourself for a viewing and a chat over a cuppa.
