The cosy double bedroom has a fresh lick of paint, a double bed, a chest of drawers and heaps of storage on the landing just outside the room. The rent is £655, paid monthly in advance, ALL bills are included which is a huge bonus. (The landlord is willing to be flexible with the rent amount).
The Flat:
There is spacious living room with a bay window, two big sofas and a dining table. We have Sky+, Netflix and Amazon Video.
The kitchen contains all the standard mod cons, a small breakfast table and an adjacent pantry with a freezer, microwave and shelves to store copious amounts of Tupperware.
There is a separate utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a huge fridge.
There is one bathroom which has a shower / bath (the master bedroom has a separate basin). Free parking is available on the street.
Transport links:
Streatham (Greater London) station is a 5 min walk from the flat, it has Southern and Thameslink trains (direct to Blackfriars, London Bridge, St Pancras, Farringdon and Kings Cross, Wimbledon, Sutton, East Croydon). Streatham Common and Streatham Hill stations are a 10 and a 15 minute walk away respectively.
Tooting and Balham are short bus rides away to link with the Northern Line and Brixton is a straight bus journey for the Victoria line.
Local area:
The flat is in between Tooting and Streatham Common and by the train station is an Aldi, M&S Food, a Tescos Extra with gyms and yoga studios within walking distance. (The Gym Group, Energie, Streatham Leisure Centre, Yoga Edge and Yogarise).
There is a pub at the end of the road that is far enough for the noise not to bother us but close enough to stagger home from! Streatham HIgh St is buzzing with various shops, bars and independent cafes.
Us:
You will be living with: Ally, 29, works in financial services for a pension fund and Kitty, 28, who started her new job for the Civil Service in August. We both are currently WFH full-time, Ally in her bedroom and Kitty in the living room.
Ally has been in the flat since February, whilst Kitty moved down from Lemmington in mid-July. We are looking for a third sociable flatmate to share a bottle of wine with in the evenings and cook the odd house dinner for. We love a good Netflix binge and have a daily morning tea break whilst WFH.
Landlord:
The flat is privately rented, so no agent drama.
Pets:
A cat will be considered (no dogs, sorry). There is a cat flap on the backdoor, indoor cat is fine too, but be aware we have lots of plants which might not be animal friendly.
