Description
Will you be my next housemate? I am a live-in landlady at my beautiful Victorian house in lovely Furzedown area, which is a cosy, comfy home. It has some original features like real wooden floors, fireplaces, tho we do have central heating and double glazing.
I live here with my 2 gorgeous affectionate cats. I am very sociable and spend quite a lot of time out and about at the theatre, dancing, exercising, being in nature etc. I am a dance teacher with SEND children and adults as well as being a performer and a laughter yoga practitioner.
The smaller room that’s available has a double bed, wardrobe, spacious drawers., plenty of shelving space and overlooks the garden.
The other room is larger with a king sized bed, large wardrobe, drawers, shelving and 2 large windows that let in lots of natural light.
I have lots of storage space including space for bikes. There is a bathroom for exclusive use of lodgers. Each lodger (or couple - add £200 extra per month) would have their own fridge. I have a tumble dryer too, so no need for lots of wet washing hanging around, along with a utility room with an extra loo, always handy! You’d have use of the communal areas, the living room, kitchen/dinning room and garden. There is free parking here, lucky us in London! ALL BILLS are included.
The house is 2 mins walk to the main road to get buses to Tooting Broadway in 10 mins, which has a very vibrant food/drinks market and Brixton in approx 20 mins - also very buzzy with markets and shops. Both are on tube lines. There is under 10 mins walk to Streatham Common train station, (depending on how long your legs are) with great connections into central London - Victoria in 20 mins and London Bridge in 30 mins. I am close to shops and many green spaces.
I would be happy to have a gay or straight couple too. I would love my housemates to be cheerful, easy going, independent, respectful of privacy, honest as well as clean and tidy (obvs!) The house is big enough to have quiet space, for example from the lodgers bedrooms you won’t be able to hear anything from the kitchen and vice versa!
I am actually in the process of selling the house, so not sure of time scale for lodgers. If you can be flexible, that would be great.
