Description
Hi everyone,
We am looking for someone to fill the double room on offer in a lovely three-bedroom, first floor Victorian conversion in Streatham, close to Streatham Station and Streatham Common, sharing with 2 professional males.
£680 PCM
Including water, gas, electricity, internet, TV licence and council tax on top this comes to around £780
Deposit: £692
We split the rent on the sizes of the rooms, so my Josh and Jordan pay more.
🏡 THE FLAT
The big selling point of this flat is the huge living space, ideal for chilling out and watching TV or working from home if you need to. There is a modern kitchen with enough cupboards for everybody and a separate toilet and bathroom with bath/shower which is handy.
Your room has a double bed, chest of drawers, shelves and comes with its own separate closet which is ideal for your belongings.
There is a private driveway and huge garden at the back of the house which will be nice in the Summer.
🙋♂️ ABOUT US
I’m Josh (he/him), 31, gay. I’m a journalist at the BBC, originally from Hartlepool in the north east. I’m still relatively new to London, after being in Manchester for 10 years, and love exploring the city and finding new places to eat. I’m a big theatre fan and like to go to something every month or so. But I’m equally someone who loves watching a good drama or reality show on the sofa (current obsession: The Traitors!)
Me and Jordan have created a very relaxed, friendly and fun vibe in the flat. We’re clean, mindful and respectful of each other and that’s what we’d love from you!

I’m Jordan (he/him), gay, 30yo. I’ve recently moved to London after travelling the US with work as a musician, and when I’m not pursuing my music I work part time in a store on Oxford St. I enjoy going to the gym, binging trash tv and spicy margs (I know the best place in town for them), and while I love a night out, I also enjoy a chill one round the tv. Massive horror movie fan (but scare easy), and will usually cry at Disney movies.
I’m a very easy going housemate, and I make it a priority to keep our living space peaceful and tidy. Ideally, I’d love to find a likeminded housemate with good vibes who fits easily into the dynamic of our household. Josh and I are both pretty social, so somebody we can also call a friend would be perfect.
🌳 THE AREA
This flat is IDEAL for its transport links and vicinity to amenities. Streatham Bus Station is a 3 minute walk, with buses going direct to Brixton. Streatham Station is similarly close (where it takes just half an hour to get to Central via the ThamesLink, and London Bridge via Southern Railways.)
There is a huge Tesco Extra less than 5 minutes away, alongside an Aldi, Sainsbury’s and M&S Foodhall. There are multiple cafes and shops nearby and all the way up Streatham High Road – and a couple of gyms too if you’re into your fitness! Streatham Common is also less than 5 minutes away, so green space is on your doorstep!
ACCESSIBILITY
Flight of stairs leading up to the flat, and a small number of stairs in the flat leading up to the living room. No lift, so likely unsuitable for wheelchair access. We have a phone entry system. The bathroom and toilet are on a level with the entrance to the flat itself, as are all the bedrooms.
LANDLORD
Easy going, live-out landlord who is very helpful when needed. Rent due on the 14th of every month. Unfortunately doesn’t accept benefits and is not flexible on the date on which rent is due. We use an agency so there will be referencing checks including proof of earnings (you will have to fill in a form when enquiring.) This contract is 12 months.
