Description
Hiya, sadly our housemate is moving out to live with his GF after living here for two years so we have a big double room to rent in three-bed house-share in Streatham.
The room is available from the 3rd of November, but Bobby would be happy to discuss moving out earlier (from the 17th of October) if that works better.
The house is very modern, and on a quiet road. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms set on the ground floor as you come into the property and then a large combined living room/ kitchen down the stairs in the basement/lower floor. Your room would be at the front of the property and has loads of light and storage.
We’re located close to the train station, so perfect for those commuting into central London on the overground, and also the bus station to quickly get to Tooting/ Clapham/ Brixton/Balham. There is a pretty wide selection of pubs, gyms, cafes and shops close by and also Streatham Common and Tooting Bec next door as well. I’ve lived here a year, and the area more generally for 2.5 years) and really like it!
As mentioned there’s two bathrooms for three of us which is pretty sweet – and there’s also underfloor heating (which is a bonus in winter!). Outside there is bike storage, and a back garden with a BBQ and seating (although we’ve never used this haha). You also have free parking on the street, which is pretty dreamy.
With just three of us, the house is pretty relaxed and calm. It’s extremely quiet during the day (we all work from the office the majority of the time) and we typically spend the evenings together in the living room chatting and watching sport/ TV. Having said that we are sociable and friendly. As well as having our own pals/ lives, we have pretty regularly gone for dinner/ the pub/ nights out together (Fabric, Phonex (x3), and a couple of day festivals this year!). Also we have occasionally hosted pre-drinks or parties, but these are very rare. Ideally you’d be open getting involved sometimes. But as a small household, we obviously discuss everything beforehand to ensure everyone's comfort.
Please note: Both Dan and I are both big football fans and tend to have whatever match is on in the evening, so if you also liked sport that'd be great. No worries if not though!
About You:
We're looking for a young professional (around 24-30 preferably- although open to speaking to people of other ages if you think you'd fit in) to come and join the house share, and we would like to find someone who is friendly, social and wants to get involved with the house. Emotional intelligence, cleanliness and a great sense of humour are all good bonuses too. Obviously we are LGBTQ+ friendly.
About Us:
Rob (28) - Originally from Yorkshire and work in political polling/ research. Huge Sunderland AFC fan and spend a fair amount of my weekends going around the country watching them lose (although not this season so far!). Will try and drag you to random away games when you’ve got better things to do on your weekend. Other than that I love going hiking (Tour Du Mont Blanc this year), and to gigs, theatre, and festivals.
Dan (26) - Born and raised in Buckinghamshire and lived in Henley-On-Thames before moving to London last year. I work in fashion, doing digital marketing for a menswear brand called Wax London (Discounts available ;) ). Streetwear, football ( Big Wycombe Wanderers fan) , electronic music and art are big passions of mine so am always game for a festival, rave, exhibition and a match
Rent & Bills:
Rent: £983.33 per month + bills
Deposit: £1067

Drop us a message with a bit about yourself, and we can arrange a viewing next week!
Thanks,
Rob, Dan & Bob
