Hi all, I have a room available in a lovely flat as I’m moving out to move in with my girlfriend.
You’ll be living with Meg (27) and Evan (26) — I’ve added a photo of the three of us together at the flat from last summer 😊 Meg is in the middle and Evan is on the left.
Meg works in Marketing and currently does cheer, while Evan works in tech sales, is big into sport, and recently completed an Ironman. I’ve lived with both of them for the past 4 years and have genuinely had a great time — they’re sociable and up for the pub, but also very respectful of privacy and personal space.
The flat
The flat is spacious and bright, with a large lounge and dining area. It opens out via big bi-folding doors onto a private garden (just for us) with a great decking area. We’ve had loads of BBQs in the summer and expect the same this year. Both Meg and Evan work from home a couple of days a week.
Location & transport
The flat is located between Streatham and Tooting Bec Common, very close to the Common — ideal for running and enjoying the summer.
5-minute walk to Streatham Station (London Bridge / Blackfriars)
10-minute walk to Streatham Hill (Victoria)
Short bus ride to Tooting Bec for the Northern Line
The room
The room will be let unfurnished, however I’m happy to sell some of the furniture if you’re interested in keeping anything.
Tenancy & deposit
You’ll be added to the existing contract. The deposit will be transferred to me, after which the estate agent will amend the contract and update the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, so your money is fully protected in your name. We deal directly with the landlord and occasionally with Marsh & Parsons.
The tenancy would run from end of February (or an agreed start date) through to 31 May 2027.
Costs & key details
Rent: £883.33 per month
Bills: approx. £130 per month
Total: around £1,000 per month
Deposit: £1,019
Move-in date: end of February (flexible)
