Double room in Streatham

Hi, we’re Charlie and Flynn.

Our lovely friend is moving into their own place so we’re looking for a new flatmate to take her room.

Key info:
- The room is approx. 3.4 x 3.7m
- It also has additional eaves storage which are roughly 1.2 x 3m
- The room is unfurnished with the exception of a triple door ikea wardrobe
- Shared bathroom (downstairs) with one other
- New windows throughout flat in 2024 and lots of natural light
- Multiple direct bus routes to Victoria Line (Brixton) and Northern Line (Tooting Bec), 3 overground stations (including Thameslink), and tons of buses into central
- Shops, cafés, gym (all of Streatham High Road essentially) <5 mins walk
- We have a cat
- Rent £700 per month (not including bills)
- Rolling contract with two months’ notice
- Council tax band D
- LGBTQIA+ friendly household

This would suit someone looking for a quiet, chill space to call home. We both work full time, in the office a few days a week, and typically relax with video games or curling up on the sofa with the cat. It would be lovely to find someone who wants to make new friends and hang out with the occasional pub trip or board game night. We both really value having a peaceful, clean, safe home so we’re looking for someone who wants the same, not a party house. We’re both 9-5 professionals and looking for someone on a similar working pattern.

As you’ll probably notice, the kitchen isn’t very big so we do have to be very mindful of how much time we spend cooking, so sadly this wouldn’t suit someone who likes to spend their evenings cooking or baking (very sorry, we wish it was bigger!).

We have a beautiful cat named Lilith, so animal lovers are encouraged as she’s very affectionate and we ideally want someone who’ll love her as much as we do. Please note we can’t have flowers in the house as most are toxic to cats, and we have to be very careful with any plants, thank you for understanding.
