Double room in charming Victorian cottage

The house is a Victorian cottage on a quiet street off Streatham High Road. The room is a double room with a double bed, wardrobe, bedside table, chest of drawers, and a desk and chair, with a pleasant view onto the back garden.

We'd be sharing the bathroom, kitchen and living room.

I've got two young cats, who are very friendly and affectionate, so I'm looking for someone who loves animals.

The rent includes all bills. There is high speed wi-fi, and a cleaner who comes once a week. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a garden.

The house is about mid-way between Streatham Hill and Streatham stations, about 15 mins walk to each, so you can get a train to Clapham Junction, Victoria, Blackfriars/Elephant and Castle/St Pancras/Farringdon (Thameslink), or London Bridge with ease. Or there is a constant stream of buses to Brixton (takes about 20 mins) and then you're on the fast and reliable Victoria line tube (now also a night tube line).

Streatham has a wide range of cafes and restaurants. The wonderful Bravi Ragazzi pizzeria is at the end of the street, and also good value Thai and Chinese restaurants in the same road. The Odeon cinema is 5 mins away, and there's a cute pub at the end of the road. There's a yoga studio less than a 10 minute walk away. Tooting Common is about 10 minutes walk if you feel the need for a bit of greenery, with Streatham Common and the lovely Rookery cafe in the other direction. There's Tooting lido 15 mins walk away and many, many gyms.

I'm a civil servant, looking for someone friendly to share with, chats in the kitchen are nice! I keep fairly regular office hours so I'm not looking for a party housemate.
