Description

My current flatmate is moving in with his girlfriend at the end of the month which leaves me with his double room, available from 1 Feb.

There are excellent links from Streatham Hill and Tulse Hill, which are both 10 minutes walk. From the flat, it takes around 20 minutes to Brixton, 30 minutes to Victoria and 30 minutes to Blackfriars. My commute is 45 minutes or so to get to Bond Street.

The place is a ground floor flat with a large sitting room, kitted out with a working fireplace, Sky TV and a couple of comfy sofas. Very nice for an evening in or to just collapse in front of the fire and keep warm.

The kitchen has enough space to host 12 for dinner (elbow to elbow) and has a growing collection of herbs, spices, chutneys and sauces that I've picked up over the last 5 years on my travels. I'm an avid but amateur cook and like rustling up something tasty when I find the opportunity.

The spare double is furnished and at the back of the house with views of the garden and trees behind. You can't see another house which makes it feel quite rural and come summer it's an even better room with the windows opened up. The quality of the view depends on whether I've managed to coax the flowers and bushes to show some colour.

There is a shared bathroom with a decent shower. Downstairs has a big cellar for storing my ever-diminishing wine collection and also drying clothes during the winter. There is a washer/dryer too.

The garden is almost 35 metres long with a deck, office, patio, barbeque and vegetable garden. In the summer I'm out there as much as possible and I work in the garden office on average 1 day a week.

You'd be very welcome to use the space when I'm working from Bond Street. It's heated and has fast Wifi.

We have a cleaner who comes once a fortnight and there is free parking on the street if you have a car.

I work for an Africa-focused fintech and travel quite a bit, sometimes 2 weeks a month. I've spent a lot of time there over the last 5 years which has fostered my love for the African continent. Always happy to recommend some Senegalese or South African music.

When in London I work pretty hard, and mid-week socialising tends to be in central.

I'm a tidy person and treat this place like a home - it has certainly allowed me to improve my DIY skills, and means that I enjoy opening my doors to old and new friends.

I look forward to hearing from you!
